Where are you located?
Im located in Mexico, Mo, located northeast of the center of the state, surrounded by lakes, tall golden fields and endless country roads.
Do you Travel?
Yes. Although, the majority of my sessions occur locally, I do travel if needed for a small mileage fee. All weddings include locations within 40 miles of my home. Im always looking for a reason to explore beyond our niche here in the US, please share your ideas with us, so we can start day dreaming about our next trip!
What kind of sessions does Storybook Moments Photography offer?
Although, I specialize in families and children, I also offer sessions for newborns, seniors, and maternity clients. I also shoot events and weddings.
How do I book a session with Storybook Moments Photography?
To book your session, please email email@example.com or message me using the contact form on my website!
How early should I book my photography session?
As soon as possible! To better serve my clients, I only book a limited number of sessions per month. Booking in advance is always the best way to ensure I am able to fit you into my session schedule! Expectant parents should book their Newborn and Maternity Sessions as soon as they are comfortable sharing with me that they are expecting! (Don't worry I can keep a secret!) Occasionally, I can fit last minute inquiries in, so please don't hesitate to contact me!
How will I receive my photos?
Photos are delivered via your Custom Online Gallery. Images are easy to view, chose favorites, share on social media, order prints or other photo gifts, and download to your computer. This delivery method is not only faster and more convenient for my clients, downloading your images versus keeping them on a CD will ensure that you can access them for years to come as many new computers are no longer being made with disk drives. This also enables you to view them on tablets and other mobile viewing devices! As soon as you download your photos, it is important to back them up using a safe media storage solution.
Can I print my photos at a lab of my choice?
Yes! You may print the digital files that you have purchased at any drugstore or online lab. You also have access to professional quality photos, canvases, and photo gifts that will last longer, resist fading and will print true to how they are displayed digitally. My editing is calibrated to the print specifications of my pro lab and will print your photos as they appear in your gallery. Many drug store labs apply "auto correcting" to the photos they print, use inconsistent color processes, and often only offer glossy finishes that will decrease the sharpness of your photos and collect finger prints. I cannot guarantee the quality of photos printed outside of my professional lab.
Do we need to bring our own props to our session?
I have everything you need for your session! I spend hours hand making props, outfits, and headbands that add the perfect professional touch to your session. I have a great collection of photography props, backgrounds, and accessories, but if you have something special you would like incorporated into your session please let me know!
What should I wear?
As your photographer I want you to look and feel your best in your photos. I often get asked "What should we wear?"
Coordinating Colors: One thing to remember is they don’t have to be the exact same color. Similar color families would work well too (example: different shades of bue; bold purple and light purple). Try to avoid matching prints and patterns as "matchy matchy" is out. Avoid matching patterns at all cost unless you are going for a specific theme.
Wear solids or simple patterns. Solid dark colors are the most flattering. Don't over do it with busy patterns and prints.
A cute cocktail/summer dress is always a no-fail way to go.
Stick to more fitted clothing. Anything hanging off your body (baggy) will make you look "boxy". Fitted clothing looks more polished and flattering.
The layered look is always a winner for downtown or urban settings. For example:
Guys: Nice dark jeans, hip shoes, collared shirt and a loose tie. Maybe a jacket or finishing touch.
Gals: Nice jeans, paired with a dressy top, splashes of color or patterns, funky jewelry and high heels (or a cute dress).
Jazz up your outfit with some accessories: never underestimate the power of a cute pair of heels or a funky necklace
(note: if you’re going to be wearing high heels, bring some more comfortable flip-flops or slip-ons with you for walking).
Most importantly: Be comfortable. Be Confident. Be yourself. Have fun.
